Attorney Thomas maintains a diverse practice with greatest emphasis in probate law, employment law, personal injury law, discrimination law, sexual harassment law, debt collection, business law, and civil litigation. Attorney Thomas represents individual and corporate clients in the Massachusetts District Court, Superior Court, Probate and Family Court, Housing Court, Commission Against Discrimination, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Division of Unemployment, and the Department of Labor.
Prior to becoming an associate at Cohen Cleary, P.C., Attorney Thomas worked as a business litigation law clerk a local law firm. In addition, Attorney Thomas worked as a legal intern with the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General, where he aided the Commonwealth’s Abandoned Housing Initiative and Administrative Agency Appeals.
Attorney Thomas earned his Juris Doctorate and Master of Business Administration Degrees from the University of Massachusetts School of Law and the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth Charlton College of Business, respectively.
While in law school, Attorney Thomas had the distinguished honor of being selected to serve as Staff Editor of UMass Law Review, in which he worked with fellow students to edit and publish scholarly articles of law and jurisprudence. Attorney Thomas strong performance resulted in his being awarded various honors and scholarships during law school.
Attorney Thomas is also committed to serving his community. As a Student Counselor with the University of Massachusetts School of law, Community Development Center, Attorney Thomas provided pro bono legal services to local business organizations and non-profit corporations.
Attorney Thomas earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth and graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Economics with minor in Political Science.
Attorney Thomas is licensed to practice law in Courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
